In 1968, Toyota offered 5 models in Canada. The Corolla, Corona, Cressida and Crown sedans and the 4 × 4 Land Cruiser were the only models offered with us. It was, however, that year that Fernand Alix became the brand's dealer. It took a fair amount of confidence to offer compact Japanese cars as American manufacturers took up virtually the entire market with their huge cars.
